book fair

Today I volunteered at the kindergarten book fair.  I remember how much I loved the book fair when I was little.  My mom would volunteer to help out and would always let my brother and I pick out a few books to buy.  Which books we would buy was always such a big decision.  I loved walking into the book fair and seeing all the books displayed just so.  The best part was the smell of the new books - I still love the smell of a new book.

Just as I loved the book fair when I was little, I love volunteering at the book fair now that I'm a mom.  It's so fun to help all the kiddies look through the books and decide which books they would like to get.  The best part about volunteering today was that Emma's class came to the book fair.  I helped Emma choose some books for both her sisters and herself.  I finished up at the book fair just in time to have lunch with Emma.  It was fun to see my girly at school today.

I always enjoyed having my mom volunteer in the classroom and at school events when I was younger.  I have fond memories of seeing my mom at school when I was younger.  I hope that my girls will have the same fond memories of me some day.

The following pics are iphone pics - I didn't bring out the good camera for book fair.
Emma at the book fair.  She was giving me a goofy smile.

Don't you just love the book displays?

Emma was excited to have mommy join her for lunch today.
