I am proud to be a minivan driving mama! We got our Toyota Sienna 5 years ago this summer. It is a silver, 8 seat van, that is pretty awesome as far as minivans go. :) Is that even possible to put the word "awesome" and "minivan" in the same sentence? I never, ever thought I would get a minivan. That of course was before I had kids. In my life before kids, I taught preschool. I saw my fair share of minivans being a preschool teacher. I always felt a little sorry for those moms, like they had lost their cool, like they were stuck driving something they really didn't want to be driving. Now I totally get it - they weren't stuck, they actually chose to drive a minivan. As a mom of 3 girls, my minivan makes my life so much easier. It's so easy for the girls to get in and out of the van and carpooling with other families is very easy. Our minivan has taken us on many road trips and has plenty of room to haul of our junk. Now that I'm a mom, I'm more worried with safety and comfort than I am about driving a "cool" car. My hubby, however, doesn't share my love of our minivan. He's a SUV guy all the way. It's funny though how he always chooses my car for road trips and uses my car when he needs to haul something big. :)
I came across this video on YouTube. It's a music video with the Toyota Sienna family that you may have seen on the Toyota commercials. I think it's a pretty funny video. If you have the time, it's worth watching. Enjoy!

Hey, I was one of those minidriving MOMS at Preschool! LOL!!!! I must say I couldn't wait to get a minivan because it meant I was a MOM - we got ours when McKenna was 9 mths because I could not do the 2 door COOL car anymore and I knew we were having more kids!
ReplyDeleteThat van finally died and we toyed with the idea of getting a SUV or crossover but we yet again got a minivan because it was the best option for our family and I didn't like those others cars and LOVE my Kia Sedona! It's as cool as cool can be with leather seats, power everything and a DVD player!!!!
LOL at the video too! It's so funny how our attitudes change once kids are in the mix! I also am the carpool driver everywhere an option I could not do with an suv!
