cutting hair

I have always loved to cut hair.  Now keep in mind, that I have never learned the proper way to cut hair nor am I qualified or licensed to cut hair.  I'm always trimming up my bangs, much to my hair stylist's dismay.  Ever since I've had my girls, I've been trimming up their hair here and there.  Every now and then I'll give them an actual hair cut.  I usually take them to the kiddie salon for hair cuts though.  Gracie, our oldest, hates getting her hair cut at the salon.  She's wiggly and I always end up paying for something that I think I could have done just a good of job at.
Tonight after her shower, I convinced Gracie to let me cut her hair.  I gave her a cut - I think I took off almost three inches.  Yikes!  Crazy, I know - I loved it though!  Her hair is thick, often times unruly, and was looking pretty crazy.  I was so glad to cut some of that craziness off and make it more manageable.  The inner hair stylist in me was happy too - love those scissors!

Unfortunately, I didn't think to take a "before" shot.  As you can see, Gracie was pretty happy with her new cut.
