Prepping for Turkey Day

Every year on the day before Thanksgiving, my girls head over to my parent's house to help my mom make pies and prepare the stuffing.  The girls also work on making place cards for our dinner table.  Thanksgiving dinner is at our house - so it's very nice to have the girls over at my mom's the day before so that I can get some cleaning done.  They take their Thanksgiving duties very seriously and usually work hard according to my mom.  I had her take some pics of the girls in action.

Emma working on mixing up the pie crust.  Em is always in charge of the pumpkin pies.

Gracie is in charge of getting the bread ready for the stuffing.

Emma with the finished pumpkin pie.  Looks yummy!

Lily showing off another pumpkin pie.  As you can see, Lily has on a dress up cheerleading outfit.  She doesn't take her Thanksgiving jobs as seriously as her sisters do.  She packed up a little bag of toys to take to Grammy's as well as that dress up outfit.  She was sure that she would have lots of time to play while her sisters were working.  :)

I'm looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with our family and enjoying some yummy food. Happy Thanksgiving!
