festivities on the fourth

We had a great 4th of July!  It was a busy day filled with family and fun.  In the morning, Emma, Gracie, and I were in our town's parade with their Girl Scout troops.  Lily watched the parade with our family and collected a ton of candy.  She was quite pleased with all the loot she got.  After the parade, we headed to Grammy & Grampy's house for a pool party.  My parents, my brother, Joe and his fiance, Dena, were at the pool party too.  We ate so much yummy food.  The girls had a great time showing off their swimming skills to everyone.  After dinner, we went back home and got the girls ready for fireworks.  We packed up popcorn, candy, glow sticks, and bug spray - all the fireworks essentials.  The fireworks were a great way to end a fabulous 4th!
