This trip is Grammy's treat and she went all out for the girls. She got the American Girl doll package at the hotel. When we arrived, these super cute beds and outfits were waiting for the girls' dolls. They each got a letter with the bed welcoming them and their dolls. Gracie brought Chrissa, Emma brought Julie, and Lily brought Ruthie.
The bed all set up - there is a pillow, blanket, and outfit that says American Girl Chicago on it. Very cute!
The girls with the cute little backpack gift bags they were given upon arrival. They have a flashlight and some other fun toys in them.
After checking in - we decided to take a stroll around the city. There was lots of hustle and bustle going on today. The girls were pretty excited to walk around and see everything. I didn't bring my good camera with us on our walk (bummer) so all of these pics are with my iphone.
Enjoying the sidewalks and shopping areas.
We decided to take a carriage ride around the city. I've always wanted to do that, so I was excited we got a chance to go for a ride. It was a beautiful day for a ride and we really got to see the sights.
The girls in the carriage.
The girls with our horse, Bozo. Yes a stranger is holding my child - anything for a good pic, right?! She was the driver and was very nice.
Gracie and Grammy on the carriage ride. Gracie looks so old to me in the picture.
Me and the girlies on the ride.
After dinner, we came back to the room and the girls got cookies & milk, and a super cute little sundae bar. They were loving the sweets.
Snuggling in one of the beds while watching some cartoons. Life is good for these girls!
We're really looking forward to our trip to the AG store tomorrow. We have lunch reservations with the dolls. More pictures to come.
