busy weekend!

We had a fun & busy weekend!  Lots of family time.  The girls were enjoying their time off after the first few days of school.

FRIDAY NIGHT

On Friday night, Ryan took Emma to the high school football game.  Gracie and Lily weren't interested in going, so I stayed back with them.  We took the puppy for a walk, watched some episodes of The Cosby Show (their new favorite show) and ate popcorn.  Emma and Ryan stayed at the game until after half time.  Emma loves to watch the band and of course the cheerleaders.  She has hopes of becoming a cheerleader some day.  It sounded like they had a great time at the game.

 SATURDAY

Saturday morning we headed out to Emma's first soccer game of the season.  She's on a team of all girls in kindergarten and first grade.  One of her new friends from her class, Lily, is on her team too.  She was so excited to wear her uniform and go play soccer.  She did really well, we were proud of her.  Emma had the biggest cheering section today - Grammy & Grampy, Grammy (Papa couldn't make this one), her sisters, and of course her proud parents.
Saturday was my in-laws 39th wedding anniversary - Happy Anniversary Grammy & Grampy!

I don't know much about soccer, but I did make sure that Emma had on a matching hair bow and of course, some cute soccer earrings.  I thought she looked pretty cute in her uniform.

Loved the team huddle after the game.  The coach is great, he does a good job with the girls.

After the game, we headed to Dunkin Donuts for some donuts, chocolate milk, and iced lattes.  Yummy!
Then we rested up for a big night out at the county fair.  Hee Haw!  We went to the fair with my parents - Grammy and Papa.  The girls had a great time.  They were really into checking out the animals and the building with the biggest fruits and veggies.  We didn't do any of the rides but we were able to squeeze in some fair food - a funnel cake, corn dogs, french fries, sausage sandwich, elephant ear, and cotton candy to be exact.

Lily was all about petting all of the animals.  Here Emma & Lily are petting a sheep that still had his fuzzy wool.  We were hitting the hand sanitizer stations pretty hard.  :)

This dairy cow was sweet.  Her owner told us she was pregnant.  Lily was really into checking out the cow.

Cute, cute little bunnies.  The girls  enjoyed looking at the bunnies.

The girls with Grammy & Papa.  Papa is holding what is left of his elephant ear after the girls decided to help him eat it.  Notice there isn't much left.

SUNDAY

Today we hung out at home.  I got some much needed cleaning done and my hubby ran errands.  The girls spent most of the day playing with each other.  Then we headed to my parents for Sunday dinner.  My brother, Joe, brought his girlfriend, Dena.  It's the first time we got to meet her.  She was very kind and sweet.  We really enjoyed having dinner with her and my brother.

Ready to start another week of school.  Lunches packed, clothes laid out, and 3 little girls tucked in their beds.
