pain in my back

I hurt my back on Wednesday night and woke up Thursday with some very bad lower back pain.  This is the first time I've ever really had back pain that has prevented me from moving around and going about my business as a normal person.  Sure, I've had an ache or pain here and there, but nothing like this before.  The pain in my back has been a big nuisance for sure.  It's hard to take care of the house, 3 girls, and a crazy puppy when you can't bend over.  I've never realized how many times a day I need to bend over to pick something up, take something away from the dog, the list goes on and on.

I went to the Dr. who lifted up my shirt to check out my back and said "Oh, now that doesn't look good."  Comforting words for sure.  :)  No need to worry though, I should be feeling good soon.  It's just my muscles, thank goodness it isn't a disc or anything major.  Nothing that meds, ice, and rest can't cure.

Unfortunately, it happened at a bad time.  My hubby's grandpa passed away this week and I was supposed to accompany him and his family out to Nebraska for the memorial service.  The doctor advised me that I shouldn't fly, she thought it would just aggravate my back.  I listened to her advice and stayed back, although I wasn't happy about staying back.  I don't think it would have worked out for me to travel.  I stayed behind with the girls and my mom came over to help out.
My mom has been a HUGE help.  She's been in charge of the girls and taking care of all my duties.  I've been resting up and watching lots of tv.  This infomercial has caught my attention more than once -

I've come soooo close to ordering it.  The lady doing the infomercial makes the most amazing foods in it.    I know though that it will never live up to the hype, so I've decided to just dream about the Xpress Redi-Set-Go as seen on tv.
